First edition; 8vo; frontispiece by Graham Robertson, occasional spotting and browning, slightly worn at extremities, otherwise very good; publisher's pictorial blue-green cloth stamped in gilt, leaves uncut (as published), some marks to binding, head and foot of spine bumped with minor tears, upper joint splitting, otherwise, also very good; preserved in a modern, bespoke dark blue morocco solander box.

  2. First edition, oblong 4to (24 x 18 cm); black and white and colour illustrations throughout, ownership inscription of 'Kolya Kopylov, Sochi' to upper cover of wrapper and first page of text; original printed wrappers, spine reinforced with tape, a good copy.

  3. First edition, small 8vo (19 x 15 cm); 8pp., illustrated in colour throughout after Boris Pokrovsky; original printed wrappers, spine slightly split otherwise a very good copy.

With the pictorial dust jacket. Minor toning to the text but an excellent copy in the dust jacket. Housed in a custom-made, black quarter morocco box.

  5. First edition, 8vo (23 x 19 cm); 15pp., illustrated throughout in red, yellow, black and blue, staples slightly rusted; original printed wrappers, a fine example.

  6. 8vo (23 x 17.5 cm); 56pp., illustrated throughout in black and white by Chekhonin, patterned endpapers; blue cloth backed illustrated boards designed by Chekhonin, corners bumped and minor wear otherwise a very good copy.

  7. First edition, 8vo (22 x 17.5 cm); 8pp., chromolithographs throughout; original printed wrappers, small 'Printed in Russia' stamp to bottom of cover, lower third of spine split, some rusting to original staples but holding fine, a very good copy.

  8. Facsimile manuscript, number 474 of a limited edition of 500 copies; 12mo (154 x 91 mm, 6 x 3½ in); 8 colour illustrations tipped-in, 2 black-and-white illustrations tipped-in; gilt-ruled straight-grained dark green morocco, marbled edges, marbled endpapers, slipcase with gilt-stamped design to upper board, near-mint condition.

  9. Sole edition, small 8vo; 10pp., chromolithographed throughout; in the original publisher's wrappers, a fine example.

  10. First edition, first impression; 8vo; map endpapers; publisher's blue cloth lettered in silver to spine, dust-jacket, with artwork by George Adamson and photographic portrait of the author, rubbed at fore-corners, a few closed tears and some chipping around spine ends, but overall very good.
