Two printed paper sheets (36 x 24.4 cm; 20.8 x 4.2 cm), printed on both sides; signatures of Nathan Mayer Rothschild and Joseph Cohen; marginal tears and cracks along the fold lines; blind-stamp of N. M. Rothschild.

First edition. Two parts in one volume large folio (61.8 x 44 cm). First part: 23 leaves numbered I-XXIX (3rd leaf = III, IV, 4th = V, VI, 7th = IX, X, XII (XI not used), 9th = XIV, XV, XVI, plate XXI i & XXI ii) being title, chromo-lithograph dedication and plates of medals, arms and regimental flags; Second part: 56 lithographs of costumes printed in colour by Godard and finished by hand; occasional marginal spotting; contemporary green half morocco, flat spine with compartments decorated and lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers, gilt edges; slightly rubbed, corners a bit bumped.
