Shakespeare and Company

'If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast' (Ernest Hemingway)

A celebration of the great authors that have graced the doors of the iconic Shakespeare and Company, this list features many first editions whose narrative was conceived amongst the ex-pat communities who called the bookshop their home including the Lost Generation of the 1920s and 30s and the Beatniks of the 1950s.
