  1. First edition, number 133 of 300 copies on Holland paper; 4to (195 x 185 mm); 30 lithographed tonal illustrations; contemporary morocco backed marbled boards ruled in gilt, with the original wrappers bound in, the upper with a further, plain woodcut illustration by Denis.

Single folio, Indian miniature painting depicting two female devotees playing musical instruments in devotion, either side of a temple with a white bull, a flowing river filled with lotus flowers runs in the foreground and dense forest foliage sets a vibrant green backdrop, ink and gouache on card, 251 x 193 mm; colours heightened in gilt, image ruled in black and white, borders painted red; some very faint scuffs and fractional chips, early Sanskrit inscription to top left-hand corner, reverse blank.

Rebound in twentieth century half black calf, marbled paper boards. Contents a little marked and toned, spine slightly faded, a very nice copy.

First edition; 8vo (180 x 112 mm); red box-rules throughout, woodcut initials, head and tailpieces, toning, closed tear in L1; contemporary red goatskin for the Chapel Royal at St James's, spine gilt in compartments with crescent and flower devices, covers gilt with elaborate centrepieces (front and back) containing cipher of George III and text 'Chapel Royal, St James's', outer frames composed of twin fillets enclosing stylised roll, and decorative corner-pieces incorporating royal crown, all edges gilt, a few marks to boards, extremities rubbed but gilt bright and the whole with a very appealing, unrestored patina.
