Literature

One of the most popular areas of rare book collecting is Literature; resonances with authors who impacted on our formative years, the desire to better ourselves and our understanding of humanity or, in the case of collecting first editions, to connect with favourite writers via the edition they themselves would have handled, all combine to make this one of the most dynamic and vibrant areas of bibliophilia.

We specialise in the best examples of key works of literature, including literary classics from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, modern first editions in their original dust-jackets, and children’s and illustrated literature from the 19th & 20th centuries.

Contact Roddy Newlands or Angus Robb for more information about Literature at Shapero Rare Books.
