The basis for the 1957 Stanley Kramer film 'The Pride and the Passion', starring Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra, and Sophia Loren.
First edition, first impression; 8vo; a couple of minor spots to prelims, else unmarked internally; publisher's maroon cloth, titles to spine and upper cover red, red topstain bright, spotting to edges, with the unclipped pictorial dustjacket, slight dust-soiling, a couple of tiny tears to extremities, traces of internal repair, still a very good copy.
