A charming copy of the first edition of one of the most important works in homoerotic Russian literature, bound in fabric. Seti includes the first book publication of Kuzmin's most famous cycle of erotic poetry, 'Aleksandriyskiya pesni [Alexandrian Songs]'. 'The whole spirit of "Alexandrian Songs" is a credit to Russian poetry's ability to project a sensibility so totally alien to Russian life' (Terras).

First edition, 8vo, (21 x 15 cm); half-title, title with small device designed by Feofilaktov, 222pp., some slight marginal toning; bound in contemporary patterned fabric covered boards, fabric frayed on spine and edges, a very good copy.
