Scarce pamphlet condemning the East-India Company's monopoly on Indian trade. By 1812 the writing was on the wall in regards to the Company's hold on trade in India: Napoleon's 'Continental System' was depriving Britain with European trade, and grain price rises and costs of labour had been reducing India's competitiveness in the global market.

Scarce, only 5 UK institutional copies (BL, Bristol, SOAS, Senate House, York).

First edition; 8vo (21 x 13.5 cm); half-title present, modern quarter red morocco, gilt rolled red cloth boards, spine lettered in gilt, all edges speckled red, a fine copy; xi, 71 pp.
