In the preface the author tells of his anguish since he was displaced in the Expulsion of the Jews from Vienna in 1670 by Leopold I, the Holy Roman Emperor and archduke of Austria. Katz mentions that he intended to take the long journey to the Holly Land with Rabbi Yehuda HaChasid, but ended up not to.
OCLC lists only 7 copies world-wide.
Small 4to, without title page, as issued; modern burgundy half-vellum; leaves browned, edges rubbed and occasionally closely shaved; old fades inscriptions in ink to first leaf; [6], 5-104 ll.
