Übersichts-Karte des Türkischen Reichs in Europa und Asien.
Gotha, Justus Perthes, 1854(?).
The map shows Bessarabia to be a Russian dependency, suggesting a publication date before the Treaty of Paris in 1856.
Third edition; partially coloured folding map, dissected and laid onto linen as issued; size: 47 x 65 cm (open), scale: 1:6000000; extending from Astrakhan in the north to the Red Sea in the south, and from Sicily in the west to the Persian Gulf in the east; with detailed insets for Constantinople and Alexandria, and a key explaining colour coordination; bookplate and manuscript title in pen to verso reading 'Turkey & the Crimea'; light foxing, otherwise in very good condition.
