Rare. Lumsden includes a short account of Muscat and describes his voyage up the Persian Gulf. also includes Bushire, Isfahan, Tabriz, Tiflis, Rostov, Odessa and Cracow. Lumsden travelled to England in 1820 from India in the company of his cousin, Matthew, the famous authority on the Persian and Arabic languages.

First edition; 8vo, vii, 272, 12 pp., hand-coloured folding map, engraved plate, contemporary calf, split to upper joint but firm, a very good copy.
