Signed by the author. In 1978, the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers staged a retrospective of Friedlander's work from 1962-76. Friedlander proposed to supplement the museum's catalogue budget so that he could produce this more ambitious book, part-financing the printing with the sale of a deluxe edition with an original photograph.
