4to (29 x 22 cm); 19 engraved plates including frontispiece, 4 maps in colour on 2ff, old bookseller's label to front pastedown, 1f. letterpress presentation slip loosely inserted; brown morocco, contrasting black inlay in hash design, engraved brass cartouche to upper panel with presentation inscription, embossed brass clasp, lettered in gilt to spine, all edges stained red and gilt, some minor wear otherwise very good.
