The earliest printing of the speech given by George Canning (1770-1827), then President of the Board of Control, in the House of Commons commending Francis Rawdon-Hastings, 1st Marquess of Hastings and Governor-General in India (1754-1826) in his successful prosecution of the Third Anglo-Maratha War.
