First edition, INSCRIBED to half title, woodcut Christmas card signed Mary Norton pasted to recto of frontspiece, colour frontispiece and further line drawings in red throughout by Diana Stanley, pictorial endpapers, original light blue cloth stamped in red, corners and spine ends lightly rubbed, without the scarce dust wrapper but a lovely twice-signed copy.
