First editions, first impressions of the four Pooh books, When We Were Very Young in the second state, with the page number ix present in the preliminaries, illustrated throughout by E. H. Shepard, a few small, faint marks otherwise very good, modern bindings of full morocco in the respective cloth colour of the original and also with relevant gilt blocks to front covers, uniform grey lettering-pieces to spines, original illustrated endpapers except for the first volume, which had plain ones (these replaced), all edges gilt and contained within a custom-made slip-case; a delightful first edition set of a children's classic.
