This is a handsome author's binding of Alan Hill's great biography of the first-class cricketer, Bill Edrich, signed by Hill and the foreword's author, Denis Compton. Hill was a prominent English biographer of cricketers who also published biographies of the likes of Herbert Sutcliffe, Jim Laker, and Brian Close. Edrich was one of a family of cricketers, whose show-stopping career playing for England spanned from 1938 to 1955. Compton had a similarly spectacular career playing for England, 1937-1957.
