Edwin Arnold (1832-1904) was a well reputed journalist for the The Daily Telegraph, eventually becoming editor-in-chief, and was part of the conglomerate the sponsored H. M. Stanley to find the course of the Congo River. He was better known as a poet, his great work 'The Light of Asia' being printed and translated many times.
