Berey has closely copied Sanson separately issued map of 1640. Berey's imprint in the right-hand cartouche replaces that of Tavernier.
Nicolas Berey (1608-1665) map publisher, colourist, and father-in-law of Jaillot. Although his original oeuvre is small he did copy numerous maps by the leading cartographers of the day, including Blaeu, Hondius, and Sanson.
