Extremely rare Polish-Zionist magazine, published in Paris.

The publication, which was obviously part of the circle of the General Jewish Labour Bund – a secular Jewish Socialist party, founded in Vilnius in 1897; contains contributions by various authors.
Poalei Zion (translates as 'Workers of Zion') was a Marxist–Zionist Jewish workers movement founded in eastern Europe at about the turn of the 20th century, after the Bund rejected Zionism in 1901.
Articles in this issue of the periodical deal with emigration to Palestine and reflect a collective ideology of settlement based on socialism.

The typographic cover illustration, which is a key motif, recalls the avant-garde work of István Irsai (1896-1968) Hungarian-born Israeli architect and graphic designer, who designed the Hebrew font 'Haim' (named after Haim Nachman Bialik), as well as various well recognised today Israeli posters, logos and theatre stage designs.

First issue, large 8vo (23.8 x 15.5 cm), original illustrated wrappers with original typographical woodcut title (somewhat dusty, faded, stapling rusted), small ownership stamp to front wrapper. Leaves browned, some staining and creasing; text in Yiddish, 48 pp.
