First edition, first printing, a lovely copy in the scarce dust jacket.Claudia Cranston (1886-1947) was an editor at Good Housekeeping and the author of short stories. She 'spent most of the years between 1922 and the late Nineteen Thirties abroad, gathering material for magazine pieces and books. She spent several years in Europe... and toured the Pacific and South America' (New York Times obituary).
First edition, first printing; 8vo; frontispiece and 23 plates from black and white photos, contents faintly toned; original buff cloth, titles and ship design to spine and upper board in blue, cloth a little rubbed and faded at the extremities, an excellent copy in the rubbed jacket with some creasing and a few small chips; 336 pp.
