As General Manager of 'The Times of India', F.M Coleman was only one of a select number of British Colonials who undertook a comprehensive study of Indian people during the age of Empire.
4to (280 x 190mm); patterned endpapers, frontispiece, title, 24 plates divided by tissue-guards, spotting mostly to tissue-guards; original cloth, red and black lettering to front board, black lettering to spine, slight fading to lettering, minor shelf wear, corners are bumped, [xii]ads, 50pp, [vii]ads.
