An attractive limited edition of Edward James' Reading Into the Picture, with a full-page illustrated inscription on the front free endpaper, 'To Sol and Mae from Edward with vernal affection, July 1960'. Sol and Mae Babitz were a musician and artist respectively, based in Hollywood, and the parents of the American author Eve Babitz.
Limited edition, inscribed by the author, number 63 of 75 copies signed and numbered by the author, from a total edition of 90; illustrated by Jorg von Reppert-Bismark, full-page illustrated inscription to front free endpaper, text in black and green, leaves a little toned but otherwise unmarked internally; publisher's brown and grey cloth, gilt lettering to spine and upper board, head and tail of spine and corners a little rubbed, overall an attractive copy; [ix], 99pp.
