Fleming's sixth James Bond novel, and the first to be made into a film.

First edition, first impression; 8vo (195 x 135 mm); a hint of age toning to leaves, otherwise internally fine; publisher's black binding without silhouette to upper board (variant A according to Gilbert), silver lettering to spine, with the unclipped first issue pictorial dust-jacket (Fleming's name printed in black on the spine) by Pat Marriott, a little rubbed at extremities, slightly more so to head of spine with a small chip to edge just at the foot to the rear panel, the latter lightly dust-soiled and a little browned at the edges, otherwise a very good-plus dust-jacket.
