Of the many children Edward Gordon Craig fathered, Teddy, his third child and first son, was the only one to be taken under his wing. There he studied and mastered wood-engraving, printing, photography, and model-making while working with his father on The Mask, a journal for theatre and the arts. He would later write his father's biography under the pseudonym Edward Carrick, and enjoyed a successful career as a film designer and illustrator, running what is thought to have been the first school of film design.

New impression, inscribed by the author; 8vo; frontispiece and a further 15 illustrations with captioned tissue-guards, the occasional minor mark or spot, hinge split at title but holding, otherwise very good; publisher's quarter cloth over paper-covered boards, worn, with abrasions, red-dot affixed to spine, slight cocking, offsetting to free endpapers, otherwise sound and robust.
