Scarce complete edition of the Bible, including the Old and New Testament published in Paris in Ottoman Turkish.
Based on the translation of Ali Ufki (aka Wojciech Bobowski or Albert Bobovius, 1610–1675), known as known as the 'Kitabı Mukaddes' (Holy Book), this version, which for many years was the only Turkish translation of the bible, became the basis for later Turkish translations used by Armenian and Greek Christians.

First edition. Large 4to (26 x 21 cm), two parts in one vol., text in Ottoman Turkish (Osmanli), printed in vocalised Arabic typeface, contemporary blind-tooled calf with recently rebacked; occasional dumpstaining to leaves and a few ink stains to edges and markings in text, pencil scribbles to title; [4], 7, [1], 984, [4], 3, [1], 318 pp.
