Love, Lawrence May 18th 1992.'The recipients were John La Rose and Sarah Swinburne White, co-founders of New Beacon Books in 1966, the first specialist Caribbean publishing company in Britain. La Rose later became Chairman of the George Padmore Institute.
First edition, first printing, inscribed by the author; 8vo; unmarked internally; publisher's green cloth, silver lettering to spine, with the unclipped pictorial dust-jacket, slight tanning to spine, minor creasing to top edge, else fine.
