George Lukomskiy was part of the Mir Iskusstva ('The World of Art') circle of Russian artists and edited the magazine of the same name. After the Russian Revolution of 1917, he emigrated to Western Europe and worked as an art historian and painter. He specialised in architectural drawings.

First edition; Folio (360 x 290mm); text in French, 144 plates in black and white, ownership name in ink to ffep, minor offsetting to endpapers, despite age-toning, plates are bright; later green cloth with black morocco caption to spine and gilt lettering, pastedowns appear bubbled across surface area, otherwise very good; 114pp, [144]plates.
