The first of Lucian Freud's drawings to appear in print were published in this collection of Moore's poems. Published in the same year as Freud's first solo exhibition, the illustrations include a number of motifs that Freud would revisit; an interesting record of his early work.

First edition; 8vo; 6 plates (2 colour), small vignettes throughout, ownership inscription to ffep; original cloth-backed boards with Freud design to upper board, a little bumped at corners, extremities lightly toned, in the original unclipped dust jacket, toned and marked with chipping to edges, loss to lower rear flap; vii, 127, [1]pp.
