This work is a meticulous copy of Pand-e Pir (Advice from the Saint), one of the most celebrated paintings by Kamal al-Din Behzad, the renowned master of Persian miniature art. The painting was executed through careful study of the original composition, with the aim of achieving the closest possible correspondence to the source in drawing, colour, detail, and overall visual harmony.

Particular attention was devoted to preserving the subtle qualities of Behzad's painting, including its refined composition, expressive figures, and delicate decorative details. The work is further enhanced by an elegant tash'ir border surrounding the composition, executed in keeping with the aesthetic spirit of classical Persian manuscript decoration.

Single illuminated painting on paper, gouache, watercolour, 23 ct. shell gold & Persian ink, heightened in gold, 19 x 29cm; framed & glazed.
