Copies of the first Trade edition, signed by both the author and the illustrator, are very rare.This is the third volume in the 'Pooh' series; the first was When We Were Very Young (1924), followed by Winnie-The-Pooh (1926) and preceding; The House at Pooh Corner (1928). The last three books featuring the antics of Christopher Robin and his toy animals—Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Owl, and Eeyore.
In this charming collection of rhymes and verses, some of which, such as 'Us Two' and 'The Friend' feature Winnie-The-Pooh. The final one, 'The End' has the now famous final couplet;
'But now I am Six, I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever.'

First edition, first impression, signed by both author and illustrator on the title-page; 8vo (195 x 135 mm); illustrations by Ernest H. Shepard, light offsetting to half-title, else internally clean and fresh; publisher's red cloth gilt, top edge gilt, pictorial endpapers, slight rubbing to corners and spine ends, with the first state dust-jacket, extremities lightly nicked and rubbedl, spine slightly darkened, else a very good copy.
