Scarce. The first edition in English of Prejevalsky's first expedition. This was carried out 1870-73, traversing the South Koko-nor mountains and explored the Tsaidam region. The work was first published in Russian in 1875.

First edition in English. 2 volumes, 8vo., li, 287; xii, 320 pp., 25 illustrations, many full-page, large folding map, original brown cloth decorated in gilt and black, bevelled edges, light wear to spine extremities, a very good set.
