An English architect, John Pollard Seddon FRIBA (1827-1906) most well-known works include the University College of Wales at Aberystwyth and numerous Churches in England and Wales. The reknowned Arts and Crafts architect and designer C.F.A. Voysey was articled as Seddon's pupil in 1873.First edition. 4to, illustrated with 14 albumen prints mounted (typical size 9 x 11.5cm.), 2 chromolithographs, 4 full-page wood-engravings, numerous vignettes in text, original original blue patterned cloth gilt, gilt vignettes to upper cover, all edges gilt, a very good copy.
