A programme issued to accompany a Gala Premier Lecture held jointly by the RGS and the Alpine Club at the Royal Festival Hall on Tuesday 15th September 1953. It contains a foreword by Prince Philip, a joint introduction by the Presidents of the Alpine Club and the RGS, and text by Wilfrid Noyce.

4to (29 x 22 cm); colour illustration to front page, black and white photographs throughout, 5 pages of contemporary advertisements to rear, a little age-toned, else very good; inside a card folder with blue ribbon to upper margin and royal crest imprinted in blue to the upper panel, date printed to lower fore-corner, some spots to rear and inner panels, marginal offsetting to upper cover, else good; 20pp.
