First India paper edition, 3 vols in 1, 8vo; 1200 pp., complete with 2 folding maps, original black cloth, large gilt, silver, and green pictorial device to upper cover after a design by Tolkien, slight fading to the spine, rubbing to the corners, internally, the condition is near-fine, save for a spot to the edge of the margin on p.63, lacking the slip-case, otherwise a very good copy.
