First edition; landscape folio; chromolithographed frontispiece & 14 plates (1 folding) after William Potts, 1 plain plate featuring 3 cave scenes, one longer running through text with tape repair, folding plate with tear running into image, 2 other plates with short marginal tears, light finger-soiling; original cloth-backed pictorial boards, rubbed and soiled, some wear to corners, a good copy.
