Anita Loos was an American actress, novelist, playwright, and the first female staff screenwriter in Hollywood. She is best known for her 1925 comic novel Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and her 1951 Broadway adaptation of Colette's novella Gigi.
First edition, first impression, inscribed by the author; 8vo; numerous black and white illustrations, internally fine; publisher's black cloth-backed red boards, gilt lettering to spine,with the price-clipped dustjacket, slight edge-wear, minor soiling to rear panel, else very good.
