ASK A QUESTION
Opinions vary whether this work is in fact by Jaen Baptiste de Mirabaud (1675-1760) published posthumously, or by Paul-Henri Thiry Baron d'Holbach (1723-1789) who is known to have published another work under Mirabaud's name in 1770. As d'Holbach was involved in the dissemination of 'Protestant and especially German thought' and famous for his atheism and writings against religion, his authorship seems even more likely, considering the work's sarcastic, disparaging and antisemitic tone.

First edition. 8vo, later marbled wrappers with hand-witten title label, untrimmed with margins of varying size, edges rubbed, bottom corners missing to few leaves, not affecting text; text in French. [3], 2-127 pp.
