Stock Code 100854
He had a particular interest in depicting market scenes that included vegetable stalls, fish markets, and fruit vendors. Although Nebot initially specialised in topographical scenes of London, the urban scene in this painting is closer in style to the works by Peter Angelis (1685-1734).
Oil on canvas; signed and dated lower left: B Nebot 1751; canvas: 88.3 x 148 cm (34 ¾ x 58 ¼ in); framed: 99.1 by 157.5 cm (39 by 62 in).
