An autobiographical account of his various climbs on Everest including the successful 1953 ascent of Everest. This fine copy of the first edition is signed by Edmund Hillary, George Lowe, John Hunt and Hugh Ruttledge on the half title. George Lowe and John Hunt were key figures in the successful Everest expedition of 1953, Hugh Ruttledge had led two previous British expeditions in the 1930's. These four men were all important figures in mountaineering history.
