India. Dr Pigou (1818 -1858) was an amateur photographer of exceptional ability. He served in the Indian Medical Service (Bombay) 1841 - 1858 and succeeded Thomas Biggs as the Government photographer during the Bombay presidency from 1855-1857.


Albumen print. Good tonal range and in good condition, mounted on card, printed title and plate number XXXV on a label on mount.
