London, Weiland and Co., 1913
As Crowley described it: 'This book deals with many matters on all planes of the very highest importance. It is an official publication for Babes of the Abyss, but is recommended even to beginners as highly suggestive.' Around 1921, Crowley wrote a short commentary about each chapter, assisting the reader in the Qabalistic interpretation.
First edition; 12mo (14.7 x 9.3 cm); errata slip tipped in between pp60-61, 2 full-page photographic plates, light offsetting to endpapers, Librairie des Sciences Occultes label to front pastedown, else unmarked internally; publisher's black cloth gilt, gilt lettering to spine and upper cover, minor rubbing to extremities, trace of fraying to the lower portion of the upper joint, but a decent copy of a pretty book.
