'Beast?' Jane murmured. 'Then God make me a beast; for, man or beast, I am yours.'

First edition in book form of the first Tarzan novel.

The story first appeared in the pulp magazine The All-Story, vol. XXIV, no. 2 (October 1912). The character was so popular that Burroughs continued the series into the 1940s with two dozen sequels.
