This stunning collection was luxuriously bound by Xavier de Planhol, a professor of geography at the University of Paris-Sorbonne and a widely acknowledged authority on Iranian civilisation.

20 vols, (all 4to bar one folio); profusely illustrated by artists such as Picasso, Bakst, Derain, Cocteau and others; uniformly bound in either marbled paper morocco backed marbled paper, two of the early volumes bound with the rare gilt printed tissue paper wrappers, all with morocco labels to spines with gilt titles, a fine set.
