First edition, first issue; 8vo (20 x 13 cm); illustrated throughout in colour by Gilbert Rumbold, spotting throughout, though primarily to first half of book and none affecting legibility of text, otherwise good; publisher's cloth gilt, Art Deco foil design to upper board, lower board gilt, illustrated endpapers, some rubbing and signs of wear, primarily to extremities, some fading to spine and top of rear board, small crack to upper joint, slightly affecting 'S' of Savoy, though minor, overall a good copy; 288pp.
