The original members of the Association are listed as Rev. H.H. Jessup (1832-1910) author of Fifty-Three Years In Syria, Mary Jessup, Dr. Samuel Glover, Frank Woodruff, Anna Jessup, Amy Jessup, James Jewett and Robert Beatie. Those who joined at Camp were the Rev. Daniel Bliss, the first President of the Beyrouth College, and Dr. Charles Dight.
