Originally appearing in a magazine as Heroes of the Straits, this is the separate edition of this essay which pays tribute to the fleet which protected the English Channel during WWI. Signed by the author on the title page.First edition, second issue (with title and half-title), signed by the author; 8vo; small patch of rubbing to inner rear wrapper, light offsetting to final blank, else unmarked internally; original pale green wrappers, stitched as issued, extremities slightly faded, some creasing, else very good; housed in custom dark blue cloth solander box, gilt lettering to spine.
