Last edition in this series. (1900 -1929). The Austro-Hungarian Empire had disintegrated after World War I and this volume covers a much smaller area than previous editions. Parts of Hungary and Czechoslovakia are still included.
Twelfth edition. lxiv, 518pp, 86 maps and plans and 2 panoramas, some pencilling inside on half title and in a few margins, previous bookseller's label on rear pastedown; publisher's red cloth gilt lettering dull as is usual; overall a very copy.
