First editions, the latter inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper; 2 vols, 8vo; very light spotting and age-toning to vol. I, else clean; publisher's maroon and navy cloth respectively, spine lettered in gilt on both vols, in the original illustrated dust jackets, vol. I a little dulled and rubbed with a few nicks.
