First edition; royal 8vo (26.5 x 19 cm); profusely illustrated throughout; contemporary red half morocco, green cloth boards gilt ruled, spine gilt in six compartments, upper edge gilt, a fine copy from the library of H.M. Stanley, without bookplate; 675 pp.
